Days of Play--Tie-Dye Paintings
What you'll need:
- watercolor paper
- water color paints
- water
- salt
- cookie sheet
- newspaper
What to do:
- Line a table with newspapers.
- Take the cookie sheet and put water in it.
- Dip the watercolor paper into the water.
- Lay the wet paper on the newspaper covered table.
- Apply paint with paint brushes.
- Watch the colors run and blur together in a tie-dye effect.
- Add a dash of salt here and there and see how it "soaks up" the paint.
- Let dry.
- When the pictures are dry, use a felt tipped marker and add detail.
This is pretty cool.
